The Veronese Mirror might seem contemporary, but this motif is actually based on the frame of a sixteenth century Veronese painting that we saw at the National Gallery in London. We combined elements of that frame with an ephemeral finish adapted from a 19th century frame. Subtle variations of real, tarnished silver leaf enhance the finely textured, cubist-inspired lines.
