The Georgian Dining Table was directly inspired by an antique table. “In 1976 we bought a period Georgian library table at Sotheby’s and it has knocked around in our various homes ever since,” Joe Niermann said. “I never really thought about the piece until John Saladino said, ‘There — that table — why don’t you make that?’” The eloquent language of the original antique has been translated into many new stories. This table, which combines details from Georgian cabinetmakers with more modern resources, is one of our favorites.
